The belief that reality is phenomenal and cannot exist without mind assumes mind is primary to reality and larger than reality. That is not the case.
While reality is changeless, mind is always changing.
Upon contemplation, we realize that mind (thoughts, sensations and perceptions) is an appearance within consciousness and not the other way around. Consciousness is primary.
