Consciousness at rest and in motion
Friend,
You say: “consciousness is not at all obvious and that it is more complex than my consciousness can ever understand”.
~
I am not sure how you refer to the term “consciousness” or what you mean when you use the word consciousness.
I use the word “consciousness” in referring to the reality (whatever that is) that perceives this perception.
In other words, I refer to consciousness as the perceiving aspect, the knowing element.
In my book, there is no such thing as my consciousness or your consciousness. In my book, there is only one perceiving aspect, one knowingness, one awareness, and one consciousness perceiving infinite perceptions.
Experientially, consciousness is very direct; it is the invisible aware presence that right now perceives this perception without being a perceived form.
~
Brain, tree, thoughts, and sensations are phenomenal forms.
One could say that they are consciousness in motion.
Consciousness is this invisible, aware presence. Directly available from itself to itself.
It knows itself directly as being, as presence, as awareness.
It’s not in time and therefore does not have an on/off switch.
