KeymasterDear Magdi,
What is Love. Commonly we associate Love with another being or thing. But we also hear that Love is the absence of the other. Can Love be cultivated, practiced? Since that would involve a person behind it, right?Thank you
Magdi
GuestDear Ganesh,
In love and as love, there is no separation. The many are one. In love, we merge into our essence, we dissolve in the love, we are absorbed in our true nature, we find the love that we seek. Love is the way, the path, the destination. All is love.
It is in our absence, in the absence of separation, that we celebrate love. In love, there is no judgment, there is no personal will or personal desire as the mind drops into the heart. The belief and feeling of separation is absent.
From the outside, it may appear that person A is loving person B, but that is only how it appears from the dualistic perspective. There is a different perspective, which is that love is being celebrated in relationship. There is no personal doer. We celebrate the gift of God in relationship, and we reject God’s gift when we return to the sense of separation alongside our personal conditions, our judgments and the unhappy blaming game.
Nature reveals the celebration of love. The sunshine onto the surface of the moon. The song of birds. Ripples on the surface of the pond. The gurgle of a stream. Isn’t it all love?
Upon the understanding that our true nature is non-dual, upon the understanding that the other is my very self and that we are the same essence, the same reality, our thinking, perceiving and behaving changes significantly and aligns itself with the universal order, which is non-dual love, kindness and harmonious living.
As this understanding is ripening, it is wise to do our best to live as universal consciousness. Everyone, everything is myself. You can consider that a ‘personal’ practice, but it is a practice in the right direction.Much love,
