What is it we seek in relationships?
Is there some sense of lack that we are trying to fill with someone else’s companionship and presence?
Can we look into this sense of lack and investigate its nature?
What is the entity that is lacking love, friendship, and companionship?
Be careful not to adopt the nondual notion that there is no separate entity.
It is best to start with not knowing.
To take a look at this sense of me. To explore this sense of being somebody.
What are the building blocks that make up the sense of being somebody? Can we explore our belief structures, our images about ourselves, others, and the world?
And to notice the feeling of being somebody. To explore the sensations in the body.
This sense of materiality or materialism. The sense of physicality.
What are the building blocks? What is the structure of the sense of physicality?
Maybe some contractions within the body, some energetic sensations within the body.
To take a look at that.
What is it that you are looking for in a relationship, and who is it that is looking? Can this emptiness, or whatever it is that you are seeking in a relationship, be truly satisfied and fulfilled in a relationship?
Take a look.
